Huawei  Included in Forbes 2017 Top 100  Most Valuable Brands

 

Forbes magazine has published the list of World’s Top 100 most valuable brands and Chinese Huawei is number 88. 

Huawei is the only Chinese brand included in this prestigious list. The brand value of the Chinese company is estimated at 7.3 billion dollars which is a 9% improvement in comparison with last year.

 

 

Forbes is world’s leading financial and economical journal and is being published in the USA since 1917. Currently it is also being published in 10 different languages. Each year Forbes comes up with the list of the most valuable brands in the world. In 2017 this list included 100 brands from 15 different countries.

The leader by the number of  valuable brands is the USA (56 brands). The list also includes brands from Germany, France, Japan and others countries. According to Huawei’s official statement within last year brand recognition growth has exceeded their own expectations. This tendency has straightened even further during the first 4 months of the year 2017, together with the Smartphone sales increase.

 

 

According to leading research institutes (IDC, SA and Trendforce) Huawei is currently number 3 in smartphone worldwide sales and number 1 in China. Models like HUAWEI P9 / HUAWEI P9 Plus were sold at 12 mln pieces, becoming the first flagship to be sold at more than 10 mln copies.  

 

 

During the production of its smartphones Huawei cooperates with other renowned companies. Thus, the new P10 Greenery was designed together with PANTONE color institute by creating a whole new color pallet specifically for this phone. Vogue magazine and Leica also participated in the creation of P10. 

 

 

By the way, being included in Forbes’ list is not the only accomplishment by Huawei. In 2016 the Chinese giant was included in Interbrand «Top 100», occupying place 72. Huawei is also number 40 in «Global 500» most valuable brands, improving its positions by 7 points compared to the previous year.
