Huawei invested 1 Billion Dollars into the New Open Cloud

 

Huawei is actively developing its cloud business by investing into an open cloud platform. During the annual analyst global summit in Shenzhen Huawei CEO Eric Xu announced that Huawei is planning to cooperate with mobile operators as well as create its own public cloud.   

 

 

 

Cloud technologies serve as a platform for data storage and analyses which includes equipment resources, license support, network channels as well as user tech support. Cloud platforms are aimed at minimizing expences and maximizing work productivity. The main feature of the platform is not the geographical dependency of equipment but rather their interconnectedness and enlargement capability. Thanks to this unique platform any person can use the cloud irrelevant of his location or device. All he needs is an internet connection.

 

 

According to Mobile World Live Huawei is planning to invest 1 billion dollars into cloud development technologies.

 

Huawei Executive Wiliam Xu has mentioned that there is a steady growth of interest towards cloud technologies, especially on national level. Thus a lot of industrial giants see their future closely intertwined with cloud platforms.

 

 

During the summit Huawei presented its newest All-cloud platform, which has three principal functional featured, including the combination of hardware resources (which allows to combine computing and storage resources), software breakdown structure (which includes the provision of quality scalability, flexibility and services), and automated operating activities (which means that the network is renewing and optimizing on its own in order to increase efficiency).

 

 

 

It’s not the first time we hear of open public cloud from Huawei. Back in 2016 the CEO and Executives of the company have repetedly mentioned USA based clouds like Amazon, Microsoft and Facebook, stressing that Huawei can aid businesses of any scale increase profitabily by shifting to cloud model.

 

 

During the abovementioned summit in Shenzhen the company has also presented its CloudApp, which allows for developers to create various apps while Huawei in turn will provide infrustracture for the latter. This unique platform is compatible with all sorts of mobile devices.

 

 

Huawei has also presented its first public cloud service named ServiceStage which is already open for app developers.  

 

Overall, according to Huawei officials 2017 has been marked as the year of cloud technologies.

 

 

«We have made large investments in order to make cloud technologies publicly available. For us this is the milestone of Huawei Cloud Family»,- said company spokesman, adding that this will include clouds developed together with operators as well as independent clouds by Huawei.

 

Currently Huawei offers public cloud apps together with Deutsche Telekom (Germany) and Orange (France).

 

 

 

In 2016 the number of registered users of Huawei Consumer Cloud increased by 70%.  

 

Huawei Consumer Cloud partners received more than 400 mln dollars combined revenue thanks to the user base of 210 million people from 200 different countries.
