Awaiting the 5G. Huawei is the Avant-Garde of New Technological Developments.
The development of technologies in the modern world is a non-stop process and while people try to catch up with innovations already available, the new ones are on their way.
And who’s the initiator of it all? Well, of course, the Chinese Huawei.
5G (fifth generation) is currently in the stage of active development.
Huawei as one of the leaders in the field is making huge investments into the development of 5G. According to Huawei spokesman Eric Xu the company is planning to invest 600 mln dollars into developing a network that would secure a speed of 10 Gbit per second.
The implementation of 5G will start in 2020, so time is scares. And so the leaders of the field, including Huawei, are preoccupied with making it a reality.
Back in 2015 Huawei together with Japanese NTT docomo has initiated field tests of 5G network.
The results of those tests exceeded all expectations. Using frequencies lower than 6GHz data transmission of 3,6 Gbit per second was achieved.
The importance of these tests is that these particular frequencies can be currently used whereas in case of other developers (such as Nokia, Samsung) the frequencies used require the creation of a whole new infrastructure.
Representatives of this Chinese-Japanese cooperation expect to better the results with every test.
Huawei CEO Wen Tong claimes that the results grow which proves that Huawei is on the right track.
«I am sure that our achievement will serve as bases for technological and scientific innovational development. That is why we continue our research in the field of 5G network», - says Wen Tong.
According to official data 5G network speed has to reach 20Gbit per second.
Interestingly enough, despite independent research Huawei has offered to cooperate with other companies.
During FT-ETNO summit in Belgium in 2016 organized by Financial Times and ETNO (European Telecommunications Network Operators' Association) Huawei urged the largest players in the field of telecommunications to unite in order to secure fast and effortless development of 5G.
According to Huawei these cooperation will allow us to develop one global frequency as well as save time and resources making the technology available to people with lesser costs in the nearby future.
In the meantime Huawei continues to work and invest in the development of 5G independently. By 2020 the company is planning to invest addition 75 mln euros and open three new R&D laboratories in Great Britain, Germany and Italy.
Simoultaniously Huawei continues to realizing different projects with operators all over the world – implementing this technological innovation.
After all 2020 is close and in three short years we are to see the new quality standard we could only dream of. And before we manage to get used to 5G we are to welcome the 6G technology which is planned to be implemented in 2025.
